1/17/2020 Day 15
This week I lost 4 lbs, which is reason to celebrate, but I’m really most proud that I’ve stuck to this path! So, here is a big picture overview of what I have been up to. I am not a Dr. or nutritionist, just sharing my journey!
- I shared previously that I am nursing baby Max, so that helps me to stay focused on taking in healthy proteins & nutrients. I do not take any supplements other than my daily prenatal vitamin. In the past I would not have thought negatively about taking a diet aid. Seeing this sweet innocent baby and feeling responsible for his health has made me place great importance on trying to do things the healthy way! I hope this will carry over into my self care mindset long after I am done nursing!
- I have reduced my caloric intake, increased my physical activity, and switched to black coffee instead of sugary lattes. I do not drink soda at all anymore either! My favorite breakfast so far is 1/4 cup of almonds, 2 boiled eggs, kiwi, and a cheese stick with my black coffee as well as my daily multi vitamin!
- My main physical activity is walking. I began volunteering to walk the dog instead of assigning it to the kids, which they love! I try to walk at least 35 minutes daily.
- Lastly, I had a preconceived idea that eating healthy was going to cost more, but I have not found that to be true. The biggest savings have come from not buying coffee creamer, soda or fast food.
